As I minister, I strive to be a Bible based, graced oriented, spirit led man.
My education includes degrees from the University of Colorado (B.A.), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Princeton Theological Seminary (TH.M.), and McCormick Theological Seminary (D.Min.). My most exciting academic moment was co-teaching a preaching class at Princeton Theological Seminary.
My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 30:21: “Your ears will hear a word behind you. This is the way, walk in it, whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” My favorite part of my role as a pastor are the “Aha” moments that occur when putting a sermon or Bible study together. They occur in counseling sessions or when having a devotional—those moments when God breaks in and speaks.
I accepted the Lord in a tepee when I was in the 6th grade. I received my call to the ministry when I was a ten year old sitting in the balcony of my church. Listening to a preacher, I heard God say, “Follow in his footsteps.”
My hobbies include playing tennis, riding my Harley, and reading history. My favorite vacation spots are Bora Bora, Tahiti and Kauai’s Na Pali coast in Hawaii. I also enjoyed visiting Jerusalem and Galilee in Israel; there is nothing like walking where our Lord traversed this world. My favorite Christmas memory was when my daughter was little and she opened up a present. She was so excited that she set it down, screamed with delight, twirled around, and then picked it back up.
My favorite thing is being your pastor!
