We are in the season of Lent. This is a time, that as believers, we can reflect. Reflect on the power of Love that overcame death, not the kind of love we have struggled with in the world. No, it’s the lifesaving Love that came, and even while we were still caught in the sin cycle of life, changed our eternal destinies forever! It’s the Love that stepped down off of His throne and walked in the way we could not walk, all so that we would believe that Jesus, God’s only Son, had come to reset what the plan had always been. Through His suffering on the cross and His defeating death, we are be restored as the rightful heirs to God the Father and His glory revealed through Christ the Son, now living in us!

In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul is with the Corinthians reminding them of resurrection power of Jesus Christ. In verse 54, he tells them, “death has been swallowed up in victory.” There were deniers among them and instead of letting it get out of control, He proclaimed that death had been defeated, the victory was in the resurrection and the empty tomb! Jesus lives and Love had won!

Paul’s plight is still present today. There are still deniers trying to put a period at the foot of the cross; but we know the story! It’s our story, too. The tomb was found empty! The resurrection is where we have begun. Let’s live each day during the Lenten season with anticipation of what’s to come! Yes, there is a battle brewing every day for our very souls. The devil – he doesn’t want us to remember that we have been saved, but that is our story…Love has won!

Enjoy this season of reflection, and let’s live The Resurrection Way! Have an amazing week!
