I accepted Jesus when I was 15 and my life has never been the same since! As I began to grow in my faith, I never thought I was going to lead a life beyond my wildest dreams. It’s not necessarily what I expected or planned, but I know God has prepared my path.

I honestly believe that Galatians 2:20 could serve as the perfect Bible verse to represent the life I wish to live: “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

I was born and raised in Mexico City, and came to the United States at age 16. My family found CommPres through an old friend and I cannot describe how thankful I am to God for bringing us here. This church has been our second home since Day One. The support, love, encouragement and prayers we received from members of this community have worked miracles in our lives. I am forever grateful to this church and honored for the opportunity to serve in it.

I have had the privilege of serving CommPres in multiple capacities: Youth Adult Leader and Volunteer, VBS Volunteer, Stephen Minister, Soul Care Group Facilitator, Community Hope Center Volunteer, IDignity Volunteer, Interpreter, Prayer Minister and now as Youth Administrative Assistant.

As an immigrant, my journey has not been easy, especially breaking through language barriers, academic studies, and essentially the way of living. I love this country and am grateful for every experience in my life because they have shaped me into the young Christian woman God has called me to be.
