Denise Hall-Holder arrived in Celebration with her husband, Chris, on Dec 24, 2013. They began attending CommPres shortly thereafter. She volunteers at the church front desk on Tuesday mornings, and as needed during church events.

Originally from Ohio, she entered the Air Force after high school and served 22 years. After a rewarding career, she became an Emergency Management Specialist for the State of Alaska. A majority of her life was spent in Alaska, where she still owns a plot of land (dreaming of becoming a snow bird someday). She is currently taking courses towards her Bachelors in Biblical Studies to further a deeper understanding of the Lord. She takes Pastor’s advice and has been reading at least a chapter of the Bible a day (currently in Jeremiah). Her husband loves his photography and is constantly creating new works of art.

We all thank Denise for her dedicated support and helpful spirit. Her cheerful smile lights up the church office!

Judy Gregg has been a CommPres member since 2001. You may recognize her because, as an usher, she is the shining face that greets you when you arrive at church. Judy also serves as the Elder for Adult Ministries and selects the Daily Devotions that are posted on our website and Facebook. Did you know she also prepares the elements for every communion service? Yes, that delicious bread is home-baked by Judy.

Judy is a Celebration pioneer, and has lived in the town for 20 years. She is a nurse practitioner in gynecology and loves to do weight training at the gym. Her favorite vacation was the recent group trip to Israel, especially when she was baptized in the Jordan River. And, here’s a fun fact. Her oldest daughter was just selected by NASA to work as an engineer on the International Human Space Station.

Judy is truly a treasure at CommPres. Thank you, Judy, for your dedicated heart and loving spirit!

Rob Hughes has been a CommPres member for 16 years. He has coordinated church hospitality for the past 6 years, from Saturday Pancake Breakfasts and Savoring the Season to barbecue cook-outs and weddings. Thanks to Rob, we all enjoy coffee and refreshments every Sunday morning, and indulge in a complete brunch buffet in the summer. Rob is a founding member of the choir, and is also an avid golfer and gardener.

Born in Gary, Indiana, Rob was raised in Northern Michigan. He served in the Air Force for 8 years, and did 3 tours in Vietnam. In his free time, Rob likes to go to the movies. Favorite movie? Hush…Hush, Sweet Charlotte with Bette Davis. Most of all, Rob says he enjoys serving others.

We are all grateful for Rob’s servant heart. Thank you, Rob, for your commitment and all your hard work!
